Clean Freak! Aoyama kun
Saw the recent anime and decided to read the series. I didn’t like it at first but the quirky characters grew on me. My favorite chapters revolve around Aoyama’s adventures playing an MMO because I did not expect a sports manga to go there.

Lady and Oldman
Natusme Ono’s new manga. It’s an interesting tale about a man who finishes serving a 100 year prison sentence and a young girl who helps him. They team up to become couriers for dangerous packages in 1960′s Los Angeles. I really love Natusme Ono works that are set in America. I want to read more!

Mitsume Mokushiroku: Akuma Ouji Sharaku
Found this reboot/sequel to Osamu Tezuka’s lesser known work The Three Eyed One. Pretty disappointing as the artwork isn’t great. I recommend you go read the original instead.

Saigo no Restaurant
A manga about a restaurant that ends up serving famous historical figures who appear in it to have their last meal before death. As far as fantasy eating manga goes this one is top notch. I appreciate how all the patrons pose a question that relates to their personality for the chef has to answer with his dish.

Blue Giant Supreme
Sequel series to Blue Giant. Follows young tenor sax jazz player Dai Mikimoto on his trip to Europe. Really love this manga. Shinichi Ishizuka might be the best at representing the intensity of music in manga’s visual medium. If you like great human drama this is a manga for you!

Isekai Izakaya: Japanese Food From Another World
Story about a modern day Japanese tavern that’s serves citizens in the fantasy medieval port city of Aiteria.
It’s basically a bunch of ‘fish out of water’ stories for the citizens who are amazed by the Japanese cuisine. Similar to Restaurant to Another World but I think this one is better because the stories revolve around well written characters, similar to Shinya Shokudo.

Restaurant to Another World
Decided to check out this manga adaptation because the anime is currently airing right now. It’s not bad but I feel like the concept of a modern restaurant serving customers from in a fantasy setting is done much better in Saigo no Restaurant and Isekai Izakaya “Nobu”, both of which also came out before the light novel this is based on. I’ll probably introduce those manga next instead.

7-nin No Shakespeare NON SANZ DROICT
Historical fantasy manga by Harold Sakuishi of BECK fame. This manga plays with the lack of any historical records of William Shakespeare’s private life and suggests that he had 6 other accomplices who helped him make his mark in 16th century London as a genius playwright. Super fun series that was on hiatus for 5 years is back and I’m loving it!

Samejima, Saigo no Juugonichi
Part 3 of the Bachi Bachi series about Sumo Wrestler Samejima Koitaro. 1st time I read a Sumo manga that portrayed sumo not as overweight guys but as muscular dudes who beat the shit out of each other.
I’m very sad that Takahiro Satou passed away before finishing this series. A Good read.

Macho Gourmet
Food manga about a body builder eating extravagantly during cheat days. It ran in Jump + and I liked it! A single volume release.
