Part 3 of the Bachi Bachi series about Sumo Wrestler Samejima Koitaro. 1st time I read a Sumo manga that portrayed sumo not as overweight guys but as muscular dudes who beat the shit out of each other.
I’m very sad that Takahiro Satou passed away before finishing this series. A Good read.

Doko ka Tooku no Hanashi wo shiyou
Read this really unique manga about an Inca village where people have the ability to speak with objects. They’re simple life is changed when a stranger with amnesia arrives. I love the wonderful cute art style and unique Disneyesque story!

STEVES
A manga about Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak meeting, creating the first Apple home computer, leading up all the way to the release of the Macintosh. Somehow this is not the only manga adaptation about Steve Jobs I’ve read! I love how Steve Jobs’ famous ‘Reality Distortion Field’ is drawn as a power aura straight out of Dragon Ball Z.

New manga from creator of WOMBS about an alien planet where many organisms, including humans, have anti-gravitational powers! I’m convinced Yumiko Shirai is a genius based on her intricate ability at world building.

Tengoku Nyobo
Absolutely heartbreaking autobiographical manga from Hiroyuki Sugahara that covers the final moments of his wife who died from a brain tumor. He’s currently drawing the manga to fulfill her dying wish of wanting to live on in his work. I can’t stop crying!

Umareta Toki Kara Hetakuso
Autobiographical manga by Abe Yarō of Shinya Shokudō. Focuses on his childhood and is a nice tribute to his father and mother.

Papa to Oyaji no Uchi Gohan
I love food manga and this one is great. 2 single fathers become roommates and work together to make meals for their kids. Great artwork and stories that tug at your heartstrings!

Candy & Cigarettes
Check this out because it’s by Tomonori Inoue who did Coppelion. Retired bodyguard gramps joins up with a 11 year old girl who’s a hitman. Seems similar to the comic Kickass. Seems pretty generic but I liked Coppelion so I think I’ll keep checking this out for now.

Shojo Fight!
I’ve always loved Yoko Nihonbashi’s manga but her current series Shojo Fight is easily my favorite. It’s so refreshing to find a female sports manga that doesn’t overly sexualize the girls or have them not openly discuss their problems!
